Barbara Brown Taylor's book, "An Altar in the World: a geography of faith"
Erin is using the above book as a source for her reflections, alongside the lectionary readings, starting on April 26th and going for 12 weeks.  The book argues that there is no way to God aside from "real life in the real world," and shares 12 everyday practices that can help us to feel connected to God and the holy.
Week One (Apr 26):   The practice of waking up to God (vision)

Week Two (May 3):  The practice of paying attention (reverence)

Week Three (May 10):  The practice of wearing skin (incarnation)

Week Four (May 17): The practice of walking on the Earth (groundedness)

Week Five (May 24):  The practice of getting lost (wilderness)

Week Six (May 31):  The practice of encountering others (community)
Week Seven (June 7): The practice of living with purpose (vocation)
Week Eight (June 14): The practice of saying no (sabbath)
Week Nine (June 21): The practice of carrying water (physical labour)
Week Ten (June 28): The practice of feeling pain (breakthrough)
Week Eleven (July 5): The practice of being present to God (prayer)
Week Twelve (july 12): The practice of pronouncing blessings (benediction)
